Replacement Auger for Cabelas 3/4 HP Meat Grinder
« on: April 24, 2026, 07:14:23 AM »
I was setup to grind last week and made it about 3# in when the meat stopped pumping through. Opened it up and pulled the auger out and the square end on the auger had sheered off. We've thousands of pounds of meat through this grinder so I have nothing to complain about for the longevity but where can I find a replacement? There doesn't seem to be any parts available for these? Has anyone bought other manufacturers #12 augers and had them work?

Take it to a welder or machine shop and have it repaired if you cant find one. Should be a pretty easy fix!

I think they quit making parts for Cabela's grinders.  I have a half horse that has been super for ten years or more but when I checked last Fall, was told nobody makes parts for my model.  Mine was labeled Cabelas  but was built by Weston.

I bought a 1.5 horse LEM for our family of hunters to use.

They're cast out of pot metal usually... You'd have to tig weld it... Then reshape... I'd imagine the shop fee would be about $200... May or may not last very long...
I love you... I really do...

Depending on the age it is likely a branded Weston.  You should look to see if the Weston replacement matches up.\.

I see a few different #12 augers out there on the market, I'm just hesitant to get one and find it doesn't work in there or damages the unit further. I'll look into the Weston angle though.
