Depending on your iPhone model you may be able to take advantage of T-Mobile's Starlink access but then that pushes you into the pricier plans (it should also be available as an add-on but they have been changing a lot over there). I haven't had much success using it as it never seems to connect when you need it to. Now that they bought US Cellular they may have improved regular cell service out there as well.

Some newer iPhones will also have Apple's version of satellite texting (no pricing right now) which is more consistent to use but relies on rotating around to connect to the satellite following prompts on the screen, so you won't passively receive anything.

I had good coverage with Verizon when I used to frequent that area.

FYI, the closer you get to the towers on Top of Nanum the spottier your signal can get. It has to do with different radio signals competing with each other. Also, the type and model of phone will have an impact on your reception. I have been up there with others who had the same service provider and one of us can get out and the other can’t.

Something else that is unusual up there. I have used a ground fault listening device that uses a microphone to amplify noises underground. You can pickup radio station broadcasts from the Yakima area up there by just placing the microphone on the rocks up there.
