Tables have turned, proud of our son and grandsons.
« on: Yesterday at 08:17:30 PM »
For years I planned the hunts and areas and camps.   My eldest along with the grandkids are taking the helm and I'm good with it.  Not a matter of pride or being lazy but they are the future.   I've got to remember that they keep quiet and hunted.  Thanks Son, proud of you and good luck to our hunting season.  Also good luck to ALL for the upcoming draws and the 2026 season.

I have no legacy like that. My one son doesn't hunt and my grandsons don't either. Good for you, Pat. That must be a good feeling.

That's the way you build an enduring hunting camp......recruit younger members and better yet if they are within the family. I joined a Boeing based group and it worked well for years but then members started dropping out due to age, retirement and relocation. We tried (and failed) to recruit new younger members and eventually gave up. Some nonsense about having to make a living.

My father was the same. He was just happy to spend time with me.
