Are those boats anchored in the current or under power? Anyone got the hot setup for fishing from a boat? It looks like those guys are using downriggers?
The boats are under power. The current can change extremely fast and being tied up with an anchor could be very dangerous. If you hook into a 30 or 40 pound Salmon you'll want to be able to brake away from the pack so that you can enjoy the fight and not tangle with the other boats gear and downrigger cables. Folks in this area will move and give you room to fight your fish. The hot setup yesterday was a Brad's Super Bait
Red Hotter Tamale baited with oil packed light Tuna pulled behind a matching flasher off of your downriggers.
