Umtanum cow tag muzzleloader

I have not hunted in 342 any Ideas on where to start scouting? Any info would be a help! The season is the OCT. 3rd-11th

I had that tag nine years ago. Ended up only getting one shot and that was at a spike. Missed him clean. I think it was user error.  :DOH: This is during the general EM season so that opening morning they're gonna be running for cover. You won't catch many out in the open much after that. Don't miss like me. :hunt2: That's the best advice I can give. Good luck.

had a friend eat that tag a couple years ago.
they hunted 1 long weekend if i remember correctly.

Its not really an easy cow tag to fill. Hope for really cold weather... And make sure you keep in mind that a lof of elk travel by the river when they get pressured.

Our camp has taken 3 cows in the last 2 years in that unit. No cow tags this year so we will be hunting 368. Send me a PM and I will try to help if I can.
