Montana Photo Trip

I had a chance to get away for a day and a half, so I made a quick trip over to Montana.  I found quite a few willing subjects, and had some fun hunting them with the camera.  Here are a few of the images I took.  In addition to the subjects in the pics, I also saw a badger, but was unable to "shoot" it due to it's skittishness and the lack of light (it was at dusk).

Yeah, it was a great time.  Actually, most of the day and a half was spent driving.  And sleeping in my car    So the shooting was only for about 3 hours Monday evening before dark and then 3 1/2 hours Tuesday morning before the bright full sunlight became too harsh for good photos.  Being able to shoot in the evening and in the early morning when the light is good is critical.  Plus, that's wehn the critters are active.

RIght now, just iPhoto (Apple's base program).  I try to get the photos as good as possible in the camera so that very little editing is needed.  I just purchased Aperture, but haven't really used it much - it'll take a while to become proficient with it.

Very nice photos Tom! The variety of game you shot in such a short trip is amazing. I need to get over there!
