mineral lake

Hey everybody I was wondering if anyone has fished mineral lake outside of elbe.I was going to take my girls and wondering how busy it gets there.I know they have that camp grounds right there.Its suppose to have some good fish in there.Any info or tips on what those fish like and what type of set up do you use.

I work with a gal who's dad lives on the lake.  Opening day of fishing on this lake is a war zone.  It is well stocked, but well fished...  They are hatchery fish and few holdovers.  Powerbait is about the only things they'll bite on.
Introduce someone new to hunting this year.

 Jim, if you have a boat, anchor along the north shoreline. fish Pautzkies and worms under a bobber 6' down and throw some chum out. We hooked one 6-8lbs that way, snapped the leader. Caught several others 10-13". Blade strings will also work.

Dman thanks.I am afraid were goingto fish off the shore no boat but heard there can still be some good fishing that way also.Do the still rent pontoon boats i heard they did quite a few years ago.Might go that route.

 Mineral Lake resort rents 12' row boats well outfitted with anchor, etc. and you may be right about the pontoon boats, though I can't recall.
