  Not blowing things out of proportion, but that country is tough.  I couldn't put my finger on it, as I have hunted lots of places, and it rates right up there with misery sometimes.   Its not for the faint of heart. There isn't much game really for as much realestate as there is, and its dang hard to see them.  Kind of why everyone depends on the rut so much.

Yeah, that's why I like it; it keeps the non-hackers and wanna-be's out.    :hunter:

Take the road all the way up to Salmo Lookout. The last 5 miles to the top is thick with moose. Saw a nice bull over 50" in there last year duting modern elk.
The most dangerous weapon in the world is a Marine with his rifle!

You can see all sorts of critters in that country from Caribou (in the form of wolf *censored*) to wolverines to Grizz up there.  Thats where I saw the biggest black bear I have ever seen.  One of those canadian super bears came south.
