Thanks for the feedback.  It looks like the standard calls might work fairly well during the peak of the rut, otherwise just grunt and bay at them yourself if they run off and they might stop and look back at you. 

By the way, very nice bucks Miles. 

As far as the Easter WA Whitetails, I will check in to a special April  :hello:tag and try to type more carefully next time.

grunt call for sure in the rut! I wont leave home without one! my personal preference for a good grunt call is the MAD snort wheeze and grunt tube, this call makes great sounds, u can make the snort, its super loud if need be or can be toned down.I have owned many this is by far the best I have had

I've seen muledeer grunt calls and whitetail grunt calls.  I wonder if the deer can tell the difference.....
