backwoods, I do no think that bull is a washington bull.. Also If that gov. tag holder did not bother to go look for that animal he should stop hunting.

It that's the case, he never was a hunter to begin with.

the gov tag guy is not the one who shot the bull and did not recover it...

I do know that the guy who has the eastside raffle tag shot a giant and lost it over east around the 3rd with his rifle.

I was told when I was in the Dayton last week the gov Tag holder killed a 413 on the 3rd or something like that.

I was told it was killed on the 14th.  Scored 436 gross and 408 net.

Remember guys to read the posts and to distinguish between GOV TAG and RAFFLE TAG holders....  Both have been mentioned in this thread!

I have not heard anything about either the raffle or gov. tag.  I have a circle that usually keeps me informed.  I'm real good about NOT giving info that people want quiet.  Am anxious too about what has taken place.  Sunday I was in an area, found tracks that looked like something big had taken place there.  We are so dry here now that week old tracks have a day old look.

A couple of my friends here in Dayton said they saw it, thought it would score around 390.  :twocents:

Our policy has been you look until you find the animal or the season ends. We spent 2 days in Idaho to find a bull that had been clipped through the brisket. Really did not slow him down much. Took me a long time to figure where he was hit. We finally tracked to catch him feeding and the hunter put him down. We got into some country we had not hunted before so it turned out pretty good.

:dunno: My next door neighbor had drew an archery Dayton tag, and connected on a 7 x 7 that he figured went close to 380.  He looked for it for 14 hours and never found it.   :'( He said it was down in some REEEEAAAALLLLLYYYYY DEEP CANYON. :bash: He at least put in the effort to look for his.  He does have some great videos of the elk over there.  One 6 x 6 has a spread of close to 6' wide.  Not very long, but way wide.   :yike:
