Pre muzzleloader scouting help
« on: September 15, 2009, 09:17:52 PM »
I usually rifle hunt, but I am going to try muzzleloader this season.
Are there different tactics/goals in scouting prior to the October 3rd opener?
I will be looking for elk in the Olympic PA. I did not go earlier due to weather conditions.

Thanks

As I said in your other post, go out at night and listen for elk bugling. What does "PA" stand for? I would have thought "Port Angeles" but with "Olympic" in front it doesn't make sense.

Port Angeles is in the "Olympic" unit (621) maybe that is what he is sayin,  :dunno: Hope he has a permit to hunt it though !!!
