Mule deer hunting are on the eastern side
« on: September 17, 2009, 11:40:52 AM »
I've been hunting on the western side for 15 years or so both rifle and last year started archery. I have been wanting to try the eastern side for some mule deer but don't know what areas are open for public hunting. Anyone have any suggestions?

There's some nice mule deer around wilbur. Don't know much about public land as my brother in laws family owns 3,000 acres out there that I can hunt on.

There is TONS of public land on the east side.  Just by a good map, and start exploring.  Get away from the roads, and glass, and just hunt.  Try the Methow, or the wilderniss area for HIfh country hunting.  You should have no problem finding public land to hunt, you just have to look.

Yeah, stay on the west-side. :chuckle:

 :iamwithstupid:
Yeah the westside of the eastside  :chuckle:

The WDFW website has some has some ifoe and maps of public ground open to anyone, or go to a ranger station, get the nat forest maps and look for large sections of green areas, these are open to all and will more than likely roads to access them.
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
