Is live bait legal in saltwater?
« on: September 25, 2009, 05:18:28 PM »
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, I am fairly new to saltwater fishing.  Is live bait legal?  I can find anything about it in the regs.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

Blue shark fishing: young hippie with slight leg wound, just wrap mono around torso leaving treble hooks dangle by feet. Then troll ever so slowly so hippie trashes about in water attracting predators.

Greenling for lingcod, maybe herring for salmon.

It is legal, but only if the bait comes from the water that it is to be used in.No gold fish or other introduced species.
