Chehalis Silvers!
« on: September 27, 2009, 07:28:06 PM »
Hit the lower chehalis today and only had a couple hours to fish but ended up with three nice silvers  :)  Seemed like they were everywhere jumping and some people were catching them off the bank. Ton of fun!

Sweet, I went all the way down to hoodsport and did not put anything in the boat except a a dogshark about 3.5 foot long.

Were you guys trolling? Or just throwing spinners?

Ya we were trolling but there were a few guys trowing spinners... one i saw had his limit right off the boat launch dock in the time it took to get the truck and pull the boat out!

Bowtech, I have only fished the Chehalis twice for sturgeon, I put in up high and then went down, were you fishing right at the mouth of it? And if you do not mind explain to me where you launched at, I have no clue  :dunno:

Thanks

Joe... this was my first time fishing it too but for what its worth we launched at the 28th street launch right near where the hoquiam comes in at. Check out this website... www.sschapterpsa.com and youll find some useful info about the area and launches around. I think its under like johns river fishery/ chehalis something rather. it has directions to all the ramps and stuff like that.   Allan

My buddy fished it yesterday as well. Said it's on fire. If you know what a shamrock and black jack are you will want to run them before a cut plug herring. ;)

Good to see they got more in. When they were about out and the next shipment was not yet in the country I purchased over $200.00 of them. They have been outfishing bait for most guys.
