3rd set for today this double came in about 30 seconds after the first call, Next set a single came in but couldn't close the deal. The next 7 sets didn't even see any fur but called in several deer. The coyotes were probably too tired after running around all night long howling at the full moon to bother with a bunny meal.

Here's one for today, Pulled the .243 out of the safe, Definitely not a pelt saver, When a 65grVmax @ 3700fps hits a coyote it sounds like a baseball bat hitting a watermelon.  The 2nd pic was my only screw-up of the day :chuckle:

Updated.  Love the oops photo.

me and a buddy(guest) went out yesterday and both killed coyotes. this coyote he killed snuck in on us and we didnt see him when he stood at 100 yards in front of us he knew something was up and dropped out of sight. he ended up bedding down 448 yards away. my buddy just had the .223 leupold mark ar put on his ar-15 about a week ago. he dialed the turrent and right there in the coyotes bed he put the smack down on him. unfortunately we couldnt get both our coyotes pictured because his camera died and i crushed my phone while fixing a flat tire we got just before i called in and killed mine later on in the day.

Well, I had posted, but then got jealous of being behind and guys being hard core enough to go out during the week.  So I went out tonight and got a couple.  The dog in my left hand was probably worth weighing.  Good sized dog.  Just for reference, I'm 6'4 265.
Shot one in the chest the other was supposed to be a low neck shot (facing right at me) but now he is going to need a good dentist.

Anyway, couple more for Team Lamar.

Chalk 1 up for Team Hilo Bay.

West Side Coyote taken with a 243 and a Cat-Nip Call, by pe-wee, showed up at the 1 min. mark, on Nov 2.

Drove from Walla Walla to Kettle Falls and back this weekend... nothin'  >:(
I was sure I'd catch some dog out in the Palouse somewhere.  One of the other teams must have killed them all...

Go get em, Blacklab. They are out there, but since this is a short lull between hunting seasons (until Sat.), my buddy finally had  a chance to do some calling. They have been hiding real good, but trying again today.

Went out this morning and it was rough. Fog, makes hunting a little more interesting. Called in a pair from about 700 yards away and missed :bash: they only poked their heads over the hill to look at us and i missed my only shot. :bash:

RunniNgunnin,
With all that ground you get to hunt, where you at?  Hope your not stuck at home washing dishes   :chuckle:

Either that or you are too ashamed to admit your barrel is bent. :dunno:
