A day in the life of a satellite bull.
« on: October 05, 2009, 09:52:34 PM »
Let's start out in the dark timber looking for some trouble.

I'm getting warmed up out here in the sun. Let's look for some trouble with a bugle.

Time for some breakfast.

9:30 - Time to head up for a nap

This ridge looks good

If I was the herd bull what would I be using?

While I'm at it, might as well melt some snow and mark my spot.

One last lonely bugle.

Great photos Doug.  I got a couple of those elk in my Yellowstone trip but got into the griz good.  I'll post a few when I get a chance tomorrow...

Thanks Shawn.  This was in the area you pointed me to.   ;)  There were three or four bugling, we got on this one and followed him awhile.  Like you said, it was over by 9:30, right when he bedded.   :)
