Wifes first salmon....

...finally.  We went out with a guide on the Cowlitz two weeks ago and we each had one on but couldn't put either in the boat.  Today I went down and there was an old-timer there that had limited out.  I thought today'd be the perfect time for her to get hooked into a nice silver.  Hit the hole around 4:00, fished for an hour and a half with nothing, no one caught anything.  Then the bite turned on.  Kings were coming clean out of the water, silvers were rolling within arms reach of her, her eyes were wide...then I hooked into a nice silver, landed it, helped her put more bait on and I turned to re-bait mine.  "I think I got one!....Yep....Aww, I lost it.....NOPE, he's still there!!!!"  Were were out to our chests in water so I grabbed the back of her waders and guided her to the bank.  She landed, after trying for a month, a very nice chrome silver.
I Love my wife.   :)

I don't have any pictures.  The one time we leave the cameras at home....oh well, it was a good night and she got to tackle a nice fish.  (6lbs)

You went on a guided trip in October on the Cowlitz and got skunked  :dunno: If I were you I would loose the guides number.  :twocents:

Good Job to your wife on her first salmon
Hunting and Fishing are not matters of life or death... THEY ARE WAY MORE IMPORTANT!!!
