I'd have a hard time eating my tag in there.  You'll do better.

Just got a pic on the phone of a heck of a nice buck in some snow in the Entiat so it must be snowing somewhere there!

be very careful if you go up on top in the snow.  It warmed up yesterday up there then froze, it will be really slick, and also the snow drifts.  Just be careful, take your time, and just park it and walk if anything.  Also the mud, its like ice almost, some places its really like clay and can put you in the ditch or over the road.  If i was you looking for a buck, stay low, very low, in mud. Lots of bucks in there and you should get a shot opportunity there as well.  Good luck,

Today was opening day and started out great :) We saw a nice 3x3 with 7 doe's and a 2x2 smaller buck  They were coming down a game trail, so we turned around and went back the way we came in and found a nice trail coming off, crossing the rd. and going up the other side. So I got out (driver went on) and walked up the trail going up the other side, I could see them all coming down so I waited for them. A man walking thru the area, not hunting,in street clothes spooked them off.
About an hour later we found them all again in a steep ravine with no cover, so we waited, they got spooked by a guy coming in from the bottom thru a creek. We watched them while eating, they ended up right behind a house with a no hunt/tresspass sign.
We went up another rd. and found over 30 does, yes we counted them 3 times looking for a nice buck to get on. We did not see a buck with them, but 30 plus does, wow. It was close to dark when we came off the hill, that rd. sucks! So tomorrow it's back to where we saw that big buck with his ladies the first time and maybe I can get up on the side they were on if conditions are right. They was no snow on Mud at 2300 ft. We need snow! Call the North Pole and send a snow elf this way :chuckle:

Me and a few buddies were up there today just looking. Wen't all over, and the most activity is down low. Only saw one good buck, 4 smaller bucks, and about 50 does. No migratory bucks in the area yet. All the roads were driveable without chains.

Oh my gosh! What 2 days we have had! I couldn't keep a connection last night, sorry. If I can keep this connection I'll try and post a few pic's. Who ever called the North Pole and got that Snow Elf to drop some white stuff, thank you, do it again:) I was stalking this little buck all over hell today, that bugger can walk, and only 3 legs, he was wounded and not using the other at all. I lost him when he went over a hill(lots of those here) but found a real nice buck running a herd of does, that was after 4, so we backed out and will try for him tomorrow. We wanted to get off the hill by dark, the Rd's. are good, but icy in a few areas that we were. On the way down the hill we saw 2 more nice bucks running does too, so there are 3 that I hope to try for(one at a time of course)It has been an awesome 2 days. So that's 5 stalks in 3 days, not too bad, I'm not trophy hunting but would like a nice buck! Goodnight from Ardenvoir, sure is beautiful up here in the snow:)
Thanks guys for your messages you all left:)
