Kwik Klip for Rem. 700
« on: October 23, 2009, 09:17:35 PM »
anyone use this on their Rem. 700.  My Sendero has what I think is a powder coated aluminum floor plate/bottom metal and I scratched it up pretty good earlier this week while hunting.  I think I would like to change it out to an all steel one or use the Kwik Klip.

I tried one several years ago, I did not like it and took it off. it just looked cheap, rattled and I did not trust it.

I've used one for 25 yrs without a problem, I love mine. Dad and brother use one as well with no issues.

A buddy of mine had one. It was a pretty slick unit, the mag has a shorter length though. His was on a 300 Win Mag and with factory ammo, the mag was short enough that it just beat the crap out of the bullet noses. That's just something to consider.

My boy has one in his 700 7 mag. Never had any problems with it, I don't like clips myself, he's always mis-placing them. Its always worked well.
