anybody use the federal blackcloud stuff? been thinking about trying to jump shoot some ducks and was wondering if this stuff is any better than regular steel

I thought about trying it, but was told you really need the choke tube to go with it- another $50.  So, I stuck with the Kent Fasteel that's worked for me.

I've been carrying some around for about a week now.  If I ever get to shoot it I'll let you know the results.

Had good luck with it last year out of a duck passing briley choke but I'm sure there are better choke out now. We did only pass shoot with it.

A modified choke is fine for shooting it.  They discourage using wad stripping chokes, like Pattermasters for it, unless specified for Black Cloud.  The reason is the cup flares out from the rear instead of openning from the front, so the cup will stay with the shot longer, keeping it from spreading as fast.
