Did you see that!
« on: October 26, 2009, 09:15:56 PM »
I was goose hunting and shot 2 geese. My dog who had never hunted geese on land, much less two at once
took off and jumped the first goose that was trying to run away. Instead of returning the bird to me, ran after the second goose and used the first goose as a battering ram, knocking the second over. The dog gave the first goose and the second goose was trying to escape. The dog hit him going full tilt and grabbed him and returned it to me. He never had to retrieve 2 live birds at once before. He sure knew what to do!

I am always suprised at how well my dogs do compared to the effort I put in. Somehow I always get back more. Sounds like yours is a winner.

I love dogs. They really are 'friends'. a good hunting dog is so much fun in the blind. A good dog in general is a great companion for everything else though (hiking, fishing etc). they learn quick by watching us.
