Backyard Buck
« on: October 31, 2009, 10:20:35 PM »
Came home this afternoon, my wife and three kids in tow.  I've made a habit of looking out under the oak trees to see if anything's around because three or four weeks ago there was a bear out there eating acorns.  Today, this little guy was out there eating and trying to get lucky with a doe.  I spoiled his chance with her.  Put one in his neck from 200 yards and he went down on the spot.  He's not a hog but he'll put meat in my freezer, my in-laws freezer and the old couple next to them.

Nice buck. That is so cool being able to hunt on your property. I do the same thing.

Congrats on filling the freezer. Only one day left to hunt that was a wise choice!
