taneum area
« on: November 03, 2009, 10:31:37 PM »
i'm heading out in the morning in search of a spike, i found a few campgrounds along taneum road am i dreaming if i think i am going to find an open spot in any of them? are there any other areas along that road or spurs that would be a good place to set up a modest camp, going solo and first time so any pointers are appreciated. also anyone know where all the spikes are hiding out?  ;) thinking of starting around taneum junction and spreading out from there, i'm prepared to hike as far in as needed, no problem there, in good shape and ready for the hunt. good luck to those out there already and any that are going out this weekend.

Head up towards Quartz mtn there's tons of country up there and a good chance of finding a camping spot.  Expect company anywhere you go in that unit.  Once you start puting a few miles behind you, you should be good to go.
