GMU 124 help
« on: November 08, 2009, 07:51:17 PM »
Hey guys I apologize if this has been discussed in other threads but I could not find much info.  I live in Kennewick, but am thinking about making a trip up just a little bit above Spokane to look for a whitetail.  I have hunted whitetails my whole life in the South.  In fact that is all I have ever killed.  Anyways, just wondering if you guys could give me any tips about where to go.  I thought I had heard most of the land was private.  Any info (posted or PM) would be GREATLY appreciated.

I love this site and I spend way too much time on here :)

Thanks but I don't even know which company to talk to :)  I live in Kennewick which is about 2 hours or so south of Spokane.  I have never hunted up that far.  Any more info would be greatly appreciated!  I get one day off a week from my job at the church and was hoping to sneak up there this week.

Thanks,
Clay

Inland Empire Paper Co.

You have to buy an access permit, which you buy at White's Boots there in Spokane.

We bought them for my sisters moose tag this year.  Only saw one doe in the three days we were up there, but I'm sure we missed several since we were looking for moose.  We either went in up at the top of Mt. Spokane, or on the lower end at Thompson Creek.

Good luck!

My wife grew up in that area.  I would suggest going and asking farmers for permission to hunt their land.  Most of them limit access to their farms for the general opener so family can hunt the land.  Late season is usually pretty easy to gain acess.  Check around the colbert area so good areas around there.

I archery hunt, but have some friends that rifle. I will try to get a hold of them tonight to see if they have any ideas for you. I hunt up out of Newport or a small piece of acreage almost in Spokane. What day are you headed this way?

Inland Paper pass's can be bought at a few locations. One is Whites Boots. Very cheap, they give a map and a ton of land. 117 and 124 have planety of paper and state land for whitetails. Good Luck.
