They are making there way down. The lake was full of ducks and geese on saturday when I was in town. Of course you cant hunt there but it had a decent number of birds in it. SHould start picking up anytime now.

This coming week is one of the best weeks of the season.  When I lived in the basin you could set your waterfowl clock by Veterans day, before and after.  Lots of new birds .  As Ducks55 just said....lake was full on Saturday.  Was one of my absolute favorite day/week of the year...Veterans day/week for duck hunting.  By the time the hunting media, or WDFW news updates reports that northerns are in it's usually Thanksgiving week.

Want to confirm it................check waterfowl threads a year ago............same questions came up................and birds were coming in.  Enjoy! :hunt2:

i was out a  couple days ago and only saw 12 ducks all morning. but we did see around 1500 geese flying. but in the basin alot can change in a matter of a couple days. often times its like a light switch. and when its on you definatly want to be there. this weekend should be good. nice cold weather up north should move some of those birds around

Been slow all around lately.  Goose numbers look good, but ducks have been spotty at best.  Our group joined the save the walley foundation and took some prime Common Megansers and a hooded Merganser.  Still waiting to see good numbers of ducks show up.

The corn field accross the road from my house was cut this weekend. The Ducks and Geese are already using it. Seeing fair numbers. The mother load is surly not here yet.
