Cabelas Mountain Hiker boot by Meindl
« on: November 13, 2009, 03:08:50 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has a pair of the Cabelas Mountain Hiker boot?  Just wondering what type of silicone or treatment is best to put on them? Mine have a bit of a squeek and it drives me nuts, but the boots are damned comfortable.

I use snow seal or hubbards boot grease on mine.  Seems to work don't know if it would quiet down a squeak.

I am sorry to say you won't get rid of the squeek.  I took mine back and got the denali's.  I love them.  I threw out the inserts and put in a pair of superfeet inserts from REI.  These really make a huge difference. I have about 100 miles on them since September.
I hunt therefore I am.
