H.S.B and Co. 16 guage single shot
« on: November 24, 2009, 09:22:51 PM »
I have an old H.S.B and Co. 16 guage side-by-side single shot.  It is very old, has two triggers, and I know nothing about it.  My grandpa got it a long time ago in a trade.  He no longer hunts but has a cool collection of guns.  Does any one know anything about this shotgun?  Thanks guys.

Well, it is bigger than a 20ga and smaller than a 12ga. :chuckle: :chuckle:
That is about all I know but post some pics and the experts on here might be able to give you the info you are looking for.

HSB was a distribution company, the did not build guns. Alot of thedouble barrels were built by Cresent, Cresent built alot of guns that were sold under different names.

Don't know anything about the specific gun but I can tell you that 16 gauge rocks!  I picked up a 1953 rem 870 wingmaster from one of my neighbors for 75 bucks.  Cleaned it up and redid the stocks, now my favorite weapon.  Great on grouse, and any other bird.  I just wish the 16 would have been made is a 3" version.
