I had one in 223 and it shot decently, was not as nice as the NEF but $200 for 3 barrels is not a bad deal.

I also thought the same thing. You can't beat the price for three barrels.
I am thinking about getting one of these for my 10 year old for Christmas.
I just don't want to be disappointed if these things are junk.
Will be very interested to see what others think of these guns.

Ive heard both with how well they shoot. Ive seen 3" 5 shot groups with factory and sub moa with factory ammo. Ive seen the one I want to get and it looks pretty nice, Im looking at a bull barrel 243 for $197 seems like a good deal to me and with handloads it should group decent.

I bought one for each of my boys. .243/20ga/.22rimfire. Both boys have taken deer with them. The youngest has upgraded to a bolt action rifle after two seasons with the single.
With Remington CorLokts they'll print 2" groups at 100yds. With hand loads I can reduce that by about 1/2". They'd do better than that if you get the trigger worked on, but don't expect MOA from the short barrel without a target crown. The barrels are light and thin so they heat up relatively fast when compared to a heavier barreled bolt gun. Knowing where the first 'Cold barrel shot' impacts is key. Bluing is not spectacular. Keep them oiled well. The trigger guard and sites are plastic but they come with an aluminum rail to mount optics on.
The reason I bought them was the price for three barrels, intro to shooting the rimfire then progressing to the centerfire/shot gun and the light weight for my 'then small' boys to carry in the woods.
For the price, they served very well.

Look around, and at the Rossi web site. The youth models are available in all of the adult model calibers.

the .223 20-g sounds like a great camp rifle.
I might be looking at them soon.
