Mixed Bag 12/11/09
« on: December 11, 2009, 03:15:26 PM »
Pretty good day eventhough the saltwater was partially froze over.  Had to move the dekes three times due to tide and ice.

Nice! I hate tide ice. I almost got pushed out to sea by a chunk the size of a house.

we did great this morning too. 3 limits in 2 and half hours. best day iv had in a long time. we took all northern mallards and limits of pintail. some with nice double pins. coulda limited on teal in 10 minutes. we also had a major war with tide ice. all the dekes froze in a quarter inch of it over the course of the morning, tide was comin in, broke off huge chucks and they started floating away, quickly, with a number of our decoys still froze to the moving ice burgs... haha, definatly was the fastest iv ever chased down and bagged 2 dozen dekes. still can't feel my hands.... totally worth it.
