Wheres Waldo?
« on: January 11, 2008, 06:06:58 PM »
Whats everyones favorite recipe for preparing venison??
Anyway, you've found it. If you saw this pic in the post put up awhile back in December, you know what buck this is. If you dont know what buck this is just take a guess.  I basically hid it in the forum, because I know there a lot of non members who frequent this forum and I know this is the last place they would look. There was a member who signed up right after I originally posted it who complained about the pic quality and promised he would get better pics of this buck. What happened to that? :dunno: :dunno: Anyway I feel loyal members who frequent this site deserve to see this picture.  Huntwa, could you please leave it in the recipe section? And to keep on the topic, what is everyones favorite way to prepare venison?? :chuckle:
Enjoy.

Favorite would have to be breaded lightly with flower and a big pan of fried potatoes. Dont know what gramps put in it but tastes sooo much better when he does it...

I'm with ya there...I have a tradition of fryin up some backstrap after I'm done butchering.  I dip them in egg and then toss them in flower and fry them up quick and slightly rare.  You have to have the fried taters to top it off.  I hate it when people try to make it a culinary masterpiece, you need to keep it simple.

Not sure about my favorite recipe. I know I usually spend about $5 in spices and such to prepare it. I bet some people spend upwards of $14,000 to prepare venison.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

I am going to let HuntWa decide what to do with this thread, but I do believe he was asked by the shooter to remove the other image.

My Dad used to always use the expression you better take a fork and salt shaker with you becuase you'll never get him out.  So I guess salt and raw venison is my favorite.

I was asked to remove the picture by the person who originated the picture or first shared it by the request of the fellow.  I'll research a bit.  Meanwhile, ENJOY!

What is taking this guy so long to post some better pictures of his trophy? Hasn't it been a couple weeks or so since the picture was removed the first time?

BigBuckDown was the "newest" member that was claiming to have better pictures to share. Put up or shut up IMO. Heres the only pic I know of. It is online and being passed around.  If he has better pictures why not share? Especially after claiming he was a buddy of the shooter!  Besides I dont think we are gonna see this buck in Eastmans anytime soon.
