If by chance you speak with him- let him know that we wish the best for him and hope he can come back soon.

Talked to Ivar tonight.
He is getting better and will be going home soon. He was pleasantly suprised to hear of all the well wishing.
Sounds like he should be back posting on the boards soon.

Tell him to get better soon.  He is on the Newbie team with me and so far only BTKR has put any down.   :chuckle:

Guys,

Thanks for for all your well-wishes.  I am touched.

Short Version: August 10th I went to hospital for an upper GI exam.  A polyp was removed, but in the process some damage was done to my pancreas. It escalated into necrotizing pancreatitis putting me into a world of hurt. Iwas in Virginia Mason Medical Center for over four months.

I just returned home yesterday.  I am still very feeble and can barely walk to the bathroom. Hunting is likely many months away.

Long Version: I guess there is not a lot of need for long version, but I will add that I was close to death  several times.  The process redced my weight from 217 pounds down to 143 pounds.  I am now at 152 pounds. Skinny. If I can find it, I'll try to put my old Scout uniform on!  Wouldn't that be a hoot.

I am also tied to a feeding tube 16 hours a dat (drip from a pole), further limiting my mobility.

I will resume following interesting  threads on this site.

Ivar

(Feeling better but  a long way to go.)
