Aaron Sullivan Public Safety and Police Protection Bill
« on: December 22, 2009, 09:53:23 AM »
Seems like another so called "Military-style semi-auto weapons ban is in process here is Washington State called the Aaron Sullivan Public Safety and Police Protection Bill that is being sponsored by Rep. Ross Hunter, D-Medina; Sen. Adam Kline, D-Seattle; and Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles, D-Seattle. The ban would cover semiautomatics designed for military use that are capable of rapid-fire and can hold more than 10 rounds. Semiautomatics designed for sporting or hunting purposes wouldn't be banned. I e-mailed our esteemed senators and reps voicing my displeasure of yet another bill that is based on anti gun support groups and not what the people want.

I sincerely hope that you are not considering backing the Aaron Sullivan Public Safety and Police Protection Bill. The AR 15 has become a very popular hunting rifle and this bill would only hurt the thousands of law abiding hunters and gun enthusiasts. This bill seems to be introduced not because of what the law-abiding citizens want but anti-gun groups and Senators and Representatives that support them.

Didn't the 2nd amendment say "you can keep and bear single shot 22's only"?
