These are a few pictures my dad took of a bull with a weird skull. He's a 5x3 with no eye guards on one side and if you notice, that horn pedistal is down towards the middle of the skull. If he lives a few more years he might have some narely horns on that one side.

With that thing sticking almost straight out of his head I feel sorry for the elk he gets in a fight with. great pictures

that's a weird one,if it stays like that he might raise hell with the other bulls,seems like a face sticker for the opponents

I agree.

I don't have much interest in mounting the deer or elk I've killed but I would consider that 1, pretty cool IMO.

You know, I wonder if a taxidermist would have a hard time mounting it considering that the pedestal is in a way different place than normal.

wonder if he broke his skull at one point and it fused back together wrong? I know my dad shot a raghorn one year with a broken skull. He did'nt want to shoot it because it was a dink but felt he should as when the bull came running across the field its antler was flopping up and down. Skull was broken completly around the antler in a circle. Shows how tuff these elk are, would of killed a human, and probably would have eventually killed the bull if he hung the flopping antler up in something eventually.

We were kinda thinking the same thing as far as the busted skull. About 5 or 6 years ago, my dad and I were in the same area and there was a small 4x4 that had an antler that poked out straight in line with his nose and was obviously broke cause when he would run you could see the antler move around with every step.

my brother in law shot a bull that looks real similiar to that in idaho last year did a nice euro mount on it and called it the five by funk its a five point on one side and four on the other

Yeah he wasnt too far from your camp plus there was 3 other branched bulls. I'm hoping me and my dad can see him again to get some better quality pics before he loses the antlers.

No would not be hard to mount it, the cape would still be cut around the pedicule like normal. You night have to do some modifications on the form itself but as long as you got good measurements it would mount up fine...

Wow, they all made it through the modern firearm season.

I hope you can get some more pics. I was looking at the video and the one I have looks a little different but it is hard to tell. Same size on both sides, but the one in the video looks like it has a twisted fork on the 5pt side.

Wow that is a good looking young bull. Stuff like that has to be from injury and I bet it hurt like hell when it happened.
