Yea, looks a lot better without the tongue hanging out - guess thats why you never see taxidermists mounting them with the Michael Jordan look.  haha   Thx.

First thing I always do after I check that he's dead is cut out the tounge (so I don't get the Michael Jordan look... :chuckle: )
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Thanks.  Had two hours to get my son and I packed, turn rental truck in, and try to find a way to mail heads home.  Got a big rubbermaid tub at walmart and darn if they the heads wouldn't quite fit - then I read about $5000 fine for bringing heads into WA from Nebraska where we were flying from though its an Iowa buck - decided to call the first taxidermist I could get ahold of and ask them to pick the heads up at the Motel as we flew out.  Whew!  Now researching whitetail forms online - looks like many are much smaller noses / faces than this one.  The Joe Meder forms are based on large Iowa deer so decided to specify this if possible - semi-upright with a turn.  My son went with a full sneak.   I was only 2 hours from Meder's place - if I had known I would have had him pick it up.   Surprised this buck is towards the upper end of the mount sizes.  Can't carry antlers on United anymore.  Did bring 3 walmart coolers of meat back on the plane.  Glad I used a double gun case - counts as one bag.
