Best bet would be to look up some local guides and they should help you out with everything.
Get to the OP and I could give you more information,
Good Luck !

there's a hawg quest that replays every so often that gives you a pretty good idea of steelheading on vancouver island. if you get fox sports northwest channel, i think it's on sundays at 9:30 a.m. the steelhead one i'm thinking of repeats every so often.

I have! What do you want to know? I went in April a couple of times and I have fished 10 different rivers spent 14 days there both times. It was a blast! tons of black bears as well, some in my group did carry spray ... where I went was pretty remote.

Not as great as it used to be (on the Island)... but it doesn't take much to be better than WA. this year, most places runs are down almost 70% of expected returns.
I went in April for a couple reasons we were also fishing Salt chuck and so we wanted to wait a little so we could try and get in front of some salmon too. Something else to think about unless you are buying a 3 or 7 day liscense if you buy one in February it is only good until April 1 and in April it will be good through 09.
Hogsniper I will follow this with a PM
