Best Game Management Units?
« on: January 10, 2010, 02:44:15 PM »
I was thinking of hunting Alpine GMU, but it seems that it isn't the place to go.  I'm wondering if the Winthrop, Cle Elum, or Wenatchee areas are worth the trip.  I was also looking at over by Brush Praire in the Bumping GMU. I'm mostly trying to find a place that isn't too crowded, but has turkey in the area.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Look at the harvest reports. Go northeast. That's the best advice and the most logical advice anyone can give you. I'm not a math guy, but the numbers don't lie. Something like three or four thousand birds killed in the northeast, a little over a hundred around Ellensburg. That right there is proof enough, right?
