I'm looking for a good long range choke for my 870 Super Mag.  Any thoughts on Carson's "Dead Coyote"?

I think that choke was designed to be used with the dead coyote ammo.

Is a turkey choke and the dead coyote about the same? I used my turkey choke and some lead #7.5 on some pidgins. 70-80yds dead as a door nail. I was thinking of running some #4 buck shot or #1 though it... I'm pretty sure the #4 would be ok and one know on the #1-#0 buck shot???

I haven't used a Dead Coyote choke but I have used a Pattern Master full choke with #4 buck and it shoots great on coyotes.  I have put down coyotes at a paced off 50 yards with this load and choke.  In patterning it I have put 38 of the 41 pellets in a 12" circle at 40 yards which has worked well on every coyote I have killed with it.
You can find these chokes in the Cabela's catalog I believe and they run around $100.  I use mine in a Remington 870 with 3" shells of #4 buck shot

I have one for my mossberg.  It measures .660  It does ok.  I have dones some extensive pattern of buck shot with it.  Remington and Estate #4 2 3/4 shoot the best for me.  I can put 14 pellets in the shootnc target at 40 yards.  At 60 yards 7 pellets on target.  I can only get about 40% of the Hevi Shot dead coyote T shot to hit target.

My son has a Mossberg turkey gun with a .670 tube and out patterns my Dead coyote tube all day with everything.  Again it's like rifles, each shotgun patterns better with one shell than others.  I found it interesting that no 3" shell patterned well at all with my gun.

The "Dead Coyote" choke came in the mail today.  I hope it works out.  I'll give a review when I get a chance to pattern my gun, an 870 Supermag with 23" tube.
