Tumblers

Looking at getting the RCBS vibratory tumbler.  Just wondering what you guys think about this or other ones you have used thanks.

I have a model 400 and it does a great job. A bit noisy but i just run it in the garage.

Is one tumbler really that much better than another? All mine does is buzz.

I think there all pretty much the same

Looks to me like the differance in tumblers is teh color

My neighbor uses a rotary style, he is very into his reloading. Not sure the brand. I have another buddy that has all Dillon and their warranty is truly awesome, at least it has been for him. I have an orange one that I got at Spotsmans. I think the major difference you will find is in the noise they produce, but I am no pro so don't stake a purchase on me.

I think the other differences are volume they will hold, and the lid.  Some have solid lids, some see-through, some that double as a media sifter.

I got a blue one (not a dillon) has a clear lid, vibrates very quietly and does a great job.  Bought it at Bob's in Longview.

I have a big blue one (Dillon), and a small orange one (Lyman), and I just gave my other blue one to a guy I work with who is just getting started in reloading.  They all seem to do about the same job.  Different media will get different results.

i have one of the best a tumblers tumbler the one i have new is 180.00 i got it off the local classifieds 15.00 turned on one time ever. one of the best buys of my life! i love it i have used rcbs lyman etc but mine blows them out of the water. i like mine because the 50 bmg case fit in it so easy i can do about 30 at a time and hundreds of 357 223 it is awesome. i use to do all my case cleaning with steel wool an i am sure i will have arthritis from it but they are the ticket i like walnut media myself

The only thing i would suggest is to get one with a rubber bowl.  It makes it exteemly quite.  I got mine from McMaster Carr it was worth the price, just to keep my sanity  & not have to listen to the buzz.

Thanks for the feedback understand there is not much difference between models. since I have not used any before thought i would ask.

I think they're all pretty much the same, but mine's red. The type of media is what would make the difference.
