Just hope the batteries in your portable camp-perimeter electric fence generator don't die in the cold or you'll be sleeping with Mr. Griz at night !

Thanks for all the GREAT info folks, I will be doing some serious research in the coming days, weeks and months! I will certainly take a couple of you up on the pm offers. I have been stoked about this hunt for a few years now, but it just woudn't be smart or safe to do it alone (so I'm told by many).
I do have family in anchorage, so that could be a hub for shipping stuff if I fly or even sending anything home after the hunt (hopefully meat, horns, ect).
Thanks again!

We're planning on doing this same hunt in 11.  We are gonna drive up with a big trailer with 2-3 freezers in it and then do a fly out and float trip.  Can't wait, should be fun.

pm me i can point you in the right direction but you will need a 4 wheeler you can rent theme up ther. I had a few family members fly up but when they left with the moose they rented a small uhaul and bought a used freezer so they could plug the freezer in at night at a motel they stayed in.But find out if you can bring youre meat across canada.I lived in alalska 24 years so i know a few spots.
