« on: January 18, 2010, 11:24:00 AM »
A littel tip.  I buy it on e-Bay. Best wood I have found for the BBQ or smoker. It looks just like madrona but taste OH so good!!

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

Yes it does come from Cali. I don't use it to cook with I just toss a few chunks of it on the gas BBQ or in the smoker for the flavor. I can see how if it was used to fire the BBQ it could really get hot. It's really HARD wood.

So far it's my favorite wood for flavor. I've tried all the local favorites.
