Homemade E-caller

I found this site where a guy had made a homemade e-caller looks pretty neat. Check it out.

Basically it is another version of "El Cheapo" and you can find plans on PM or Varmint Al's.

In the 8 years since that was posted the prices on remote E-calls has come way down.

But these are fun projects and for what it is worth....A few years ago I looked for weeks for that flashlight with saddle bags, but it was sold out and discontinued.

I built one of those quite awhile ago and at the time it was a great little rig, but with 6 ft cord from the sound source to the transmitter(antennae),3 different sets of batteries and on/off switches it was a pain to operate.  As soon as a small reliable remote unit became available I switched to it.  With  remote units priced $100-$200 it isn't even cost effective to build your own anymore.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.
