Can't go wrong with the Bighorn. I have two and love them
It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need one and not have it.                                                                             Local 66 sheetmetal workers

Nice gun, but I am a TC man myself.

Unfortunately most new TC's are not legal in Washington.  The older side lock, like the Hawken and Renegade are, and are great muzzleloaders.  With that being said............get the Bighorn.

I love my SS thumbhole Bighorn.  Crunchy, you're not giving up that bow during elk season are ya?  My buddy thought he would save some money and buy a cheaper ML.  I laughed my ass off at him when his front sight broke and his camo finish started to flake off after a week in the field.

I bought a SS, camo thumbhole NWTF bighorn new in the box a month ago for $300.  Have not shot it yet but look look and feel is good.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.
