Newbie Spring Bear application question
« on: February 02, 2010, 04:33:31 PM »
Being a new WA resident, or at least a returning WA resident, things seem to have changed in my 3-4 year vacancy.

Beyond anxious to get my Spring Bear application in.  Doubt I will draw, but that dissappointment will be offset by actually thinking I have a chance for the next 3 months.

I did retrieve my WILD ID number.  And am hoping my points for moose, sheep and goat are re-instated.

As I was attempting to apply for Spring Bear, am I required to purchase the bear license before I apply?

Meaning, I know it's cheaper to make your decision of what tags you want early and pay for the combo tags.

For instance, I am not much of an elk hunter at all.  But I am a active deer and bear hunter.  And I would throw cougar into the mix as well, as I am an avid predator caller and would want the tag in my pocket should I be looking at a yellow "stump" as it grows eyes and ears through my scope.

So, do I need to buy the $70 odd dollar combo in order to be able to apply for the spring tag?

Hope I have explained it easy enough.  Seems to me it was much easier a few years ago, but it was still available online.  Just recall it was only a click or two and not 100 and $70 to put up first.

Also, I can apply for Multi Season deer now, correct?

you have to purchase a bear tag first to put in for a sping bear.  If you dont get drawn its still good for the fall.

Yes, you can apply for the multiseason tags now.

yes it is better to buy the combo and save some green they have diffrent combos i think there is one for deer bear coug :dunno: but you do have to get the license to apply like said. multi tags for deer and elk you do not have to buy before applying.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that if you buy the Bear tag now when you buy the others they come at a reduced price because you get the "combo" rates.
