Just a warning, surprise surprise. Do I get a warning if I set some victor traps for Bobcats?

Thanks for sharing that.  Any chance we might be able to get the law changed?   :dunno:

"It was just an oversight on the part of our grounds staff," said General Administration spokesperson Steve Valandra.

Valandra said the crews were, "Unaware these sort of traps were outlawed."

 :bash: :bash: :bash:

And not a damn thing is gonna happen to any of them. If it was one of us, we would make the cover story on the 5 o'clock news.

The state removed the traps Tuesday morning after State Representative Joel Kretz, R-Okanagan County, alerted Fish and Wildlife officials.

"To me, it's a real good example of the arrogance in Olympia," said Rep. Kretz, "The citizens are not able to operate like this."

A Fish and Wildlife spokesperson said the General Administration Department received a warning about the traps. Warnings are traditionally issued to first-time offenders.

The grounds crews are looking at alternative pest control measures, said Valandra.

Damn, I wish I would have noticed them and reported them.

I agree w/ Joel Kretz, it is an example of the arrogance in Olympia.  I find it hard to believe they didn't know the law.......but maybe they didn't.... :dunno:

WDFW should have fought the stupid initiative harder at the time.........that initiative and the bear baiting were so f'd up I still can hardly believe it. :bash:
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Well good to see things have not changed....Laws are for surfs and peasants not the ruling class .. do you think for a second Tim geitner , Treasury Secretary had to concern himself with tax law , no of course not.  the examples are endless   :bash:
Honesty is the best policy,  but insanity is a better defense.
