Another chicken eater bites the dust!
« on: February 06, 2010, 07:01:57 PM »
Been after this one for weeks now. Several neighbors have called me to complain. Seems they all look to me to fix the problems in the neighborhood. This one has been causing problems all over the place (we assume it was him).
No problem! Have gun - will shoot!
I lost 4 chickens and this guy was on his way to getting more when we cut him off at the pass.
This is an older boar. Not huge but mature.

I was holding my new granddaughter (one week old) and heading out the door - gun in hand. I stopped and went back in to give my wife the baby, then called my son to help.

Gee whiz! got to watch what I do with her I guess. Next time she holds the gun!

We have lost many many many chickens to raccoons over the years...always happy to hear stories like yours!  I've shot my share, but many neighbors have called upon my husband to take care of their raccoon problems...nice to have that job!
