If'n you want to compete this season.. You needed to have collected primers last year! (I have all the large pistol primers in Whatcom and Skagit county!) No, I really don't. You could always get the Win/NT 45acp brass that uses small pistol primers. Nobody wants that crap so you could probably corner the market there. -Steve
Does your Para have the aluminum frame? The reason I ask is because I used to own a Kimber Tactical II with an aluminum frame, and you guessed it, an aluminum feed ramp.I had no troubles until about round 400, I was shooting HPs and FMJs, and the HPs eventually wore a VERY tiny "smiley face" dent in the feed ramp. It got so bad that it would choke when releasing the slide on a new mag of FMJs. I sent it to Kimber twice and they never could fix it. I told the guy at the custom shop about the "dent" and he said "It doesn't really matter, I could drill a hole in the feed ramp and it wouldn't affect function". I lost my confidence in their abilities after that one and got rid of it.Other possibilities are if the COAL is different than what you're usually shooting, and of course, 1911's won't feed reliably unless the round is seated all the way back in the mag.Quote from: JackOfAllTrades on February 03, 2010, 11:12:29 PMBut the last thing that should ever touch a feed ramp of any semi autoloader is a dremel tool! Bro, you sound like a gunsmith trying to discourage someone from performing an elementary task! The one in the middle is perfect for a 1911 feed ramp, just use common sense!
