Greenwater clearcuts
« on: March 06, 2010, 01:19:48 PM »
Gee, out twice to the Greenwater clear cuts, once last weekend and once today and called in a whopping zero animals.  Today used electronics of a wounded small animal first stand, DT Howler second stand, and a Circe Jackrabbit third.  Got a lot of good exercise, saw great country side... man I love this sport.    But, any body ever do any good in that area? :dunno:

I have never hunted there.  Is there sign of yotes at all?  If there is just give it time, they dont always come in running like those randy andersen vids  Make sure all of your boxes are checked. Scent control, noise control, camoflauge, and a good set up.  Try to think like a yote, and use it agaisnt him.  Switch up your sounds as well, if its public land chances are they have been shot at before coming into a howler or rabbit in distress.  If you get a good hunting buddy, have him sit a hundered yards out, and utizle two howlers at once.  Sit there and challenge each other, and sometimes you can get a big dominat male come in for a fight.  just my  :twocents:
