388 Grayback
« on: March 05, 2010, 09:57:30 PM »
Does anyone have experience Turkey hunting in GMU 388 (Grayback)? Is it all pretty much private land or are there public hunting opportunities?

There are lots of areas to hunt here.  The Klickitat Wildlife Area is 16,000 acres.  A lot of the timber company land is open to walk in, or bike.  We are seeing lots of birds, as the winter did little or no damage.  If you get over here, stop by.  We are the second houise on the right on Soda Springs Road.  Soda Springs Road takes you into the center of the wildlife area.  We are at 17 Soda Springs Road.

I was looking at that unit too. I hiked around in there 2 years ago. Looked like great turkey country.
