Shotgun transfer
« on: March 09, 2010, 04:10:42 PM »
Hi, relatively new to the state, sorry for the simple question.   If I want to purchase a shotgun from a private party, do I need an FFL holder to transfer it to me or can we just do the deal?

It is not a requirement unless the seller or buyer wants it that way. The transfer will cost you about $33.00 most places.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

state law states non residents have to go through an FFL dealer to transfer firearms, if you do not have a current Washington State license and address and have not been in the state for a certain length of time you are not a resident of washington and need to go through a dealer.
Otherwise both of the parties involved are guilty of a crime.

I will not sell my toys to anyone not retaining a current Washington ID card or drivers license & CPL.
this way i am sure i am not selling to a felon.
TANNERITE needed for target practice on opening day of each hunting season.
