WDFW seeks nominations for
Enforcement Advisory Group

OLYMPIA - The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is seeking nominations through March 31 for membership on its Enforcement Advisory Group.

Up to five qualified individuals will be chosen to serve on the Enforcement Advisory Group, which provides recommendations to WDFW on proposed legislation, outreach and education, collaborative projects, the hunting and fishing rules pamphlet and other enforcement issues.

"Advisers are an important link between WDFW and communities throughout the state," said Chief Bruce Bjork, who heads WDFW’s enforcement division.  "We’re interested in finding people who represent a broad range of conservation and recreational interests, understand fish and wildlife enforcement issues, and have an ability to communicate with the public."

While most of the advisory group’s business is conducted through email, members are expected to meet three times a year - twice via video-conference calls and once at a central location in the state. The video conferences will be held at WDFW’s regional offices. Those selected to the group are responsible for their own travel expenses.

Any group or individual may submit a nomination, and self-nominations are accepted. Nominees do not have to be affiliated with an organized group.

Nominations must be received by March 31, and must include the nominee’s name, address, telephone number, email address, affiliations and experience with fish and wildlife conservation or other law enforcement. Up to three references may also be included.  The name, address, and telephone number of the individual or organization submitting the nomination must be included.

Nominations can be submitted to Sean Carrell by email at Sean.Carrell@dfw.wa.gov or by mail: 600 Capitol Way N., Olympia, WA 98501. For more information, contact Carrell at (360) 902-2926.
